Omnibus Motion to change the Rules

Policy remits:

  1. Remit 1/3 Hawthorn: State Branch to lobby RSL National to act and represent veterans into the performance and KPI’s of DVA.                                                                                                                                                                            13 for Nil against
  2. Remit 2/3 Hawthorn: that an amendment be made to the Combined Transitional Provisional Act MRCA 2004 to include a person who has a war-caused or defence injury or disease under the DRCA makes application for assessment under the MRCA.                                                                                                                                                                           2 for 11 against
  3. Remit 3/3 Hawthorn: That the RSL membership card contain no marketing relating to commercial operations, but should carry the phone number for Open Arms and MILVET.                                                                                            10 for 3 against

Rule remits:

  1. Remit 1/4 State President: Rules of State branch re eligibility for State Honorary Treasurer to be aligned with the requirements for other branch officers.                                                                                                                    11 for 2 against

Remit 2/4 State President: Amendment to move the framework governing meetings of the State Executive from Rules to a Bylaw.                                                                                                                                                                         11 for 2 against
  3. Remit 3/4 Hawthorn: The rules of the Branch be amended so that each Life or Service Member directly casts a vote for the election of State Executive.                                                                                                                                 2 for 11 against
  4. Remit 4/4 Hawthorn: Rules amended so that members of the State Executive are elected for 3 years and may serve a maximum of 4 terms consecutively.                                                                                                                          9 for 4 against

11:30am – 2:00pm
Dinner Service
5:30pm – 8:30pm (9pm on Friday & Saturdays)

Bookings are still essential and can only be made by calling 8792 4400

Nancy’s Café will be running as normal with full menu available for walk in diners only.

Huey’s Sports Bar is Open!
Open each day from 10:30am till late, TAB is open and Bar menu once again available with some great new items (Check them out here) And the long awaited return of Friday & Wednesday night raffles

Masks are still required when moving around the venue or if you are not eating or drinking, we also ask that you please ensure you are following the QR code check in requirements and liquor licencing sign in procedures, on arrival. Please do your best to maintain social distancing while in the club.


Bingo is back to it’s NORMAL time of 11am on Mondays and Thursday night Bingo is back at 7pm from 15th July


Don’t forget trivia is on every Tuesday night in Huey’s. Registration from 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
