Seeking Volunteers for 2021 Poppy Appeal
From October 30th through November 10th Frankston RSL will be attempting to sell Poppies in Bayside SC Frankston, (free parking docket avail) Karingal Hub SC, Langwarrin Plaza SC, Gateway SC Langwarrin and Bunnings.
Trays are also placed at schools, shops, clubs and business around Frankston, Langwarrin, Baxter & Pearcedale areas.
Valuable funds are raised in support of the RSL Poppy Appeal aiding our veterans and their families who find themselves in necessitous circumstances.
Poppy sellers are asked to work in pairs for a ‘Three-hour’ shift either, 9.00AM to 12.PM, 12PM to 3PM, or 3 PM to 5.30PM at one of the above sites.
A table, chairs, selling trays, back up stock and POS materials will be set up for you together with an EFTPOS machine for those potential Poppy buyers who no longer carry hard cash. (ANZAC Day EFTPOS takings were near 40%). Don’t let using the EFTPOS machines put you off as it takes one or three goes to “get it down pat” and training will be provided where needed.

ANZAC APPEAL HITS RECORD HIGH
After spending the 2020 ANZAC Appeal at home, our volunteers were so happy to back out selling badges to the public. Lead by our Appeals Coordinator, Peter Kerley, the army of Volunteers set up at all major shopping centres across the municipality, as well as Bunnings and Frankston Train Station.
This year saw the use of EFTPOS at selling stations, that helped contribute over $22,000 to the total raised.
The money raised will go straight to helping Veterans inn our community and on behalf of everyone involved, we say a huge thank you for setting a new Sub-Branch Record of
